Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the Banjarmasin District Court Djatmiko declares no recommendation to the drug addicts who got a court decision to undergo rehabilitation.

"Because the District Court (PN) Banjarmasin has never been decided for drug addicts to be rehabilitated," he said on Friday.

"If there is a letter of recommendation from an integrated team of assessment that the defendant need to be rehabilitated, then it could be," he continued.

According to him, the process for the defendant expressed only as addicts not drug dealers is from the analysis of the integrated team.

"Assessment team is made up of a team of medical and legal assessment team recommends that rehabilitation to be conducted. Even on the level of investigation it could be able to," he said.

He stated, drug abuse defendant, even just as addict, still has to undergo trial in court. "Although he is still in rehab," he explained.

He asserted it should to be separated between addicts and drug dealers in the eyes of the law. So it is not just someone who has made the defendant chose the status of rehabilitation is about to ask for recommendations easily.

"We recognize, if the addict that's part of the victim. But if the dealer was a crime, so there is no leniency for them," said Djatmiko.
