Tanah Laut Regent HM Sukamta said that the first loading and unloading activity of coking coal at the Pelaihari Port had met a standard feasibility test carried out in January and July 2020.

“Of course today there are still shortcomings, but we must jointly develop and improve it again,” said the Regent after witnessing the first unloading of coking coal from BG Sinar Anugerah 2502 at the Pelaihari Port, Thursday.

He stated that the Tanah Laut District Government will continue to assist and provide full support to make Pelaihari Port even bigger.

According to him, it is a historical record for the people of Bumi Tuntung Pandang (nickname of Tanah Laut) that will never be forgotten.

The Regent hopes that Pelaihari Port can provide extraordinary benefits for the local people. "Let's make it even bigger, so it will provide extraordinary benefit for the whole people of Tanah Laut,” he appealed.

The first unloading activity was marked by packing of coking coal into the truck fleet. It was attended by the District Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), the District Secretary Ahmad Khairin, other officials, and invited guests.
