The South Kalimantan chapter of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) assessed the provincial government and four districts and cities effectively handling coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Head of the agency in South Kalimantan M Ali Asyhar here on Tuesday said that the assessment was based on the results of auditing of the performances of the local government in handling the highly contagious disease.
"The conclusion from the examination results of both South Kalimantan Provincial Government and four cities and districts is quite effective in handling COVID-19 in the health field," said Ali Asyhar who has just served as the head of the South Kalimantan BPK.
BPK handed over the audit report (LHP) of the effective performance in the handling of COVID-19 pandemic in health in 2020 to the DPRD speakers and regional heads of five entities, namely the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan, the City Governments of Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, and the Districts Government of Banjar, and Tanah Laut.
Also submitted the LHP of compliances with the handling of COVID-19 in 2020 to DPRD speakers and regional heads of three entities, namely the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan, the Districts Government of HSU, and Tanah Bumbu.
"This examination is part of the BPK's comprehensive audit strategy (universe audit) carried out simultaneously in Q2 of 2020 for all central and regional entities," he said.
The target of the examination included four things, namely tracing, testing, treatment, and education dissemination in order to change people's behavior in handling and controlling COVID-19.
