Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The first flight batch (kloter) of South Kalimantan haj pilgrims from Tabalong District was in Mecca and had worshiped Umrah.


"The first batch is in Mecca right from yesterday, and had practiced umrah," said Head of the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Muhammad Tambrin H on Friday.

According to him, the first kloter occupies lodgings in the area of Jarwal, which is about 1,040-2,720 meters distance to the Masjidil Haram. They served by bus.

The 320 haj pilgrims in Mecca had been reported to be in no worrying condition, or all in good health and spirit to run the 5th pillar of Islam worship.

In the meantime, a second fleet of 325 pilgrims of city of Banjarmasin has entered the hostel on Thursday (18/9) at 17:00 and was ready to depart on Friday (19/9) at around 16:00.

They fly with Garuda plane from Syamsuddin Noor Airport to King Abdul Aziz Airport, Jeddah, and scheduled to arrive at around 22:40 local time.

In accordance with kur'ah or draw fleet, said Tambrin, the South Kalimantan second kloter will occupy lodgings in the area of Mahbazin. It lies approximately 1,560-2,720 meters from the Haram.
