Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Head of the Tabalong Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Agency, Birhasani, here onThursday said it has set up a local industry development plan in accordance with the Law No. 3 of 2014 on industry.
"In preparation, the Ministry of Industry with a team of consultants PT Arthaguna Citra Pratama already reviewing the development of core competencies in the Tabalong's local industry," said Birhasani in Tanjung.
The districts with a population of 228,051 inhabitants has a natural potential that can support the development of local industries such as natural rubber and coal mining.
Regent Tabalong, Anang Syakhfiani when opening the focus groups discussion said that in order to support the production of rubber, the local government will create rubber market, including reviving the farmers' rubber cooperatives supported with equipment in order to increase the quality of rubber.
Representatives consultant from PT Arthaguna Citra Pratama, Andi Akmal, in his presentation said the low production and quality of rubber in Tabalong influenced by the performance and expertise of local farmers including poor governance.
"From the results of study and analysis in Tabalong superior products such as rubber industry, wood processing and mining, are still constrained by the quality of human resources, financing to lack of empowerment," said Andi.
