Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Kotabaru Transportation Agency plans to hold urine test to drivers, as one of the measures to reduce the number of traffic accidents. 


Head of Kotabaru Transportation Agency, Sugian Noor, here on Thursday, said the urine test will be held suddenly, to get maximum results. 

"The activity is a form of cooperation with the National Anti-Narcotics Movement (Granat), Kotabaru Police, Civil Service Police Unit, and Health Agency," he explained. 

He hoped that drivers will take care of them self to be able to avoid alcohol, and taking drugs, and narcotics. 

According to Sugian, traffic accident could have been caused by the worthiness of the vehicle, but it can also be caused by the negligence of the driver or other. But all of them can be minimized by performing a few steps. 

In addition to the feasible vehicles, the bus driver or fleet regularly carrying passengers back and forth to be really in good shape, so that the comfort and safety of passengers stay awake to their destination. 

In addition to the urine test, Kotabaru Transportation Agency also plans to regulate the operation of "shadow terminal" and "black taxi", usually occurs when the bloom period and forth flow backflow of Eid.
