Mayor H Ibnu Sina said the Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival (BSF) is an arena to let the world know the Sasirangan typical cloth of South Kalimantan.

At the grand opening of the 4th BSF in 2020 at the Duta Mall Banjarmasin, Wednesday (March 4, 2020), he said Sasirangan is a proud legacy of culture from South Kalimantan to Indonesia.

"Actually, the launch of the 4th BSF has been done in Bali at the end of February. We choose the place as it is the world tourist destination in Indonesia," said Ibnu Sina.

The BSF, which is centered at the Siring (Martapura River embankment) tourist attraction on Jalan Piere Tendean takes place from 4 to 8 March 2020.

This year, he emphasized, the BSF is surely different from the previous years. It is worked on to make it more lively, such as the expo involving participants from a various regions in and outside South Kalimantan, such as East Java, Yogyakarta, and Solo.

"There are also from our neighbor province, namely East Barito, Central Kalimantan, and Paser District, East Kalimantan, which will be the new capital," Ibnu Sina pointed out.

The peak of BSF on Sunday (March 8) will present a parade of thousands of people wearing the colorful motive and design of Sasirangan.
