The SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin senior high school won the first champion of the 2020 Uncle Birin Sports Festival in futsal sport organized by the South Kalimantan Youth and Sport Agency from February 19 to 23, 2020 at the Borneo Futsal Field, Banjarmasin.
Before advancing to the final, which was attended by about 68 participants, SMAN 2 Banjarmasin (SMADA) defeated its opponents with a landslide score.
The first day SMAN 2 Banjarmasin defeated SMA PGRI I with a score 12-1, against SMAN 2 Kotabaru 3-1, winning against SMA 13 Banjarmasin 3-1.
Furthermore SMAN 2 Banjarmasin won against SMAN 1 Tanjung with a score 10-1.
In round 4, SMAN 2 Banjarmasin versus SMK 2 Banjarmasin scored 3-3, so the penalty shootout was done and it scored to win 3-2.
In the final round of the Student Sports Festival witnessed by a number of officials, school principals, and students, SMAN 2 Banjarmasin came out as champion after beating MAN Tala with a score of 8-0.
"Throughout our observation and friends from the beginning to the end, the SMAN 2's game was extraordinary, especially by playing three fields it dominated the game," said Head of Sports Empowerment of the South Kalimantan Youth and Sport Agency Muhammad Nasib.
"My advice is to continue to maintain this achievement, so you can dominate the next championship. Congratulation to the SMADA team for their achievement today," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Principal of SMAN 2 Banjarmasin Samandi welcome their struggle and appreciated the students so they won first place in the championship.
He also congratulated the success of the SMADA's girl basketball team for winning the first place in the same sports festival and for maintaining a good name of the school the umpteenth time.
The head coach of the school expressed his gratitude for the success of SMAN 2 Banjarmasin as the champion of the futsal among South Kalimantan students.
"Alhamdulillah SMADA students won the first place. When competing, they played very nicely and well, all followed the trainer's instructions," he said.
