Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded, the balance of trade in the province, both in July 2013 and January to July 2013 had a surplus.

Trade balance of South Kalimantan in July 2013 had a surplus of 272.96 million US dollars, according to the head of the provincial BPS Distribution Arih Prasetyo here on Monday.

"South Kalimantan trade surplus in July 2013 was based on the difference between the value of exports amounted to 655.21 million US dollars to the value of imports of 382.25 million US dollars," he continued.

Similarly South Kalimantan trade balance from January to July 2013 had a surplus of 3.56 billion U.S. dollars, obtained from the difference between the value of exports of 5.50 billion US dollars, the import value of 1.94 billion US dollars.

But in July 2013 the value of exports of South Kalimantan decreased 8.84 percent when compared to June 2013 when it reached 718.73 million US dollars.

While the value of imports of South Kalimantan in July 2013 increased 82.72 percent compared to June 2013 reached 209.20 million US dollars. Similarly, compared to July 2012, the value of imports of South Kalimantan in July 2013 rose 120.98 percent.

The main suppliers of imported products state in July 2013, namely Singapore with a value of 180.00 million dollars, Malaysia 137.07 million dollars and China 47.24 million U.S. dollars.
