"Wonderful Indonesia Week", is scheduled to be held in Jeddah on November 14-19, 2019. The event will also be carried out by the Tourism Ministry, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, on November 21-23, 2019.

Operating under the theme, "Bring the Wonders to Saudi Arabia", the program has set up a series of promotions about the beauty of Indonesia's tourist destinations using interactive information, art attractions, and by highlighting traditional Indonesian culinary festivals.

Indonesian Consul General of Jeddah, Mohamad Hery Saripudin, said that the Consulate General in Jeddah has worked hard to carry out the government's program to boost the tourism sector through various promotional agendas in Saudi Arabia.

"We'll invite Saudi millennials, such as bloggers and YouTubers, to visit Indonesia," he remarked.

In addition to tourism, the Indonesian Consulate in Jeddah continues to improve economic and trade relations by encouraging exports of Indonesian products to Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Tourism had prepared an international promotional strategy and program that combines media publications, a social media blitz, exhibitions, arts and culinary festivals, sales missions, family trips and joint promotions.

Those efforts were aimed at reaching the target of 20 million foreign tourists by 2019, as set by the government of Indonesia.
