Banjarmasin - Mayor of Banjarmasin H. Ibnu Sina plans the Martapura River Embankment or popularly known as siring, a tourism icon of the city, to be professionally managed.

According to him, the professional management remains in the corridor of the Banjarmasin city government, namely by establishing a technical implementation unit (UPT) of the siring.

"Indeed, this plan has been a year ago as a proposal of the tourism and organizational development agencies, so that the management of tourism objects is more professional," he said, Thursday.

The goal is there is clear accountability with proper management as a mainstay tourist attraction in the city of Banjarmasin.

"For now, it is like being separated, tourism is managed by the Tourism Office, the waste is carried out by the environmental agency and the PKL (street vendors) is carried out by the cooperatives and SMEs. If there is an UPT, all become the responsibility of the UPT," said Ibnu Sina.
