Head of South Kalimantan Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kanwil Kemenag Kalsel) H Noor Fahmi said, as many as 86 elderly prospective Hajj pilgrims had entered the additional quota of Hajj in 2019.
He said here on Monday, the additional quota was from the distribution of an additional national hajj quota of 10 thousand given by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
"Of the 10 thousand additional quota, our region get 326 candidates or one flight group (keloter)," he said.
Meanwhile the repayment stage for the Hajj Management Cost (BPIH) is included in the third stage, which ends on May 29, 2019.
"The additional quota of the Hajj from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a prize for our president while running the Umrah last time that is indeed prioritized for elder candidates who are already registered," he explained.
"So there is the oldest Hajj candidates in our area, who are more than 100 years old, ranked from there to the bottom, up to 80 years old, there are 86 people on the list," he said.
"In fact, all of them have paid off BPIH, including their assistants," Noor Fahmi added.
