Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The combined units of a mobile detective (Resmob) and vehicle (Ranmor) in the Crime and Violence (Subdit 3 Jatanras) of South Kalimantan Regional Police's General Crime Investigation Directorate seized a car with fake documents and arrested the maker as well.
"Four people have been secured and named as suspects from the disclosure of this case," said Director of General Crime Investigation Sr Comr Police Sofyan Hidayat through the Head of Sub-division 3 Jatanras Adj Sr Comr Police (AKBP) Afebrianto Widhi Nugroho on Wednesday.
He revealed, the police got information about a car using fake documents After an investigation, they secured a white Chevrolet Aveo DA 1615 AQ being driven by M (39) in Banjarbaru City.
When checked, the car's STNK (vehicle registration certificates) and its tax notice did not match the frame number and engine number of the car.
According to the driver, the car was bought from Banjarmasin resident through U and A for Rp50 million without legal documents. M then asked A to make a fake STNK, tax notice and fake BPKB (vehicle ownership documents) for Rp25 million.
Upon this acknowledgment, the police conducted a development to find A who lived in Central Hulu Sungai District. The arrest was fully backed up by the district's Resmob Unit.
"It turned out that A was only an intermediary and assisted by Ak we found the suspect F the maker of the fake BPKB and STNK," explained the officer who was familiarly called Afeb.
At F home, officers found many fake STNK and BPKB. Even a number of fake ID cards and high school to bachelor diplomas.
