Another effort made by the Plantation and Livestock Service Agency to meet the needs of beef is through breeding of injecting marriage. In addition, she called, is inviting plantation and mining companies to breed cattle in their business area.
Breeding through injecting marriage, she said, has managed to increase the supply of 2,000 cows. However, 2,000 injectable matings cows can not be utilized because it is still in the stage of enlargement.
Possibly, she said, the 2,000 cows can only be used in 2019 because they almost a year old.
Meanwhile, for the preparation of Ramadhan and Lebaran 1439 Hijri the agency has prepared as many as 6,679 cows.
Then, she said, for the availability of buffalo meat at this time there are 1,127 buffaloes while the required is 836 heads. "Of that amount, the availability of buffaloes have a surplus of 291 heads," she said.
