Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Regent Abdul Wahid asked the subdistrict heads to register their villages so no more residents do not enjoy clean water services by the end of 2019.
"We want to achieve Universal Access 2019 target where all citizens can enjoy clean water service," Wahid said in Amuntai on Thursday.
Wahid said the government is responsible for providing clean water services to remote areas, especially when there is now a community-based water supply and sanitation (Pamsimas) program.
The Acting District Secretary Suyudi as the Chairman of the Working Group on Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation (Pokja AMPL) said Pamsimas has been presented in this district since 2008 and has made 132 villages as the program target.
"In 2018 there will be 30 villages as targets. Therefore, all sub-district heads and village heads support is necessary to identify clean water and sanitation needs in their areas," Suyudi said.
