Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, Fisheries Counseling Association (Ipkani) held technical guidance of coral transplantation of basic offshore methods.
Chairman of the Department of Technology Assessment and Conservation of the Central Board of (DPP) Ipkani Eko Prio Raharjo in Batulicin, said the bimtek held in Gusunge Village, Kusan Hilir Sub-district, followed by IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin students and students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science ULM Banjarbaru.
The bimtek introduced on how to make substrate (cement blocks) of transplant coral of offshore method, which has been tested and implemented in Tanah Bumbu for almost 10 years, namely in Angsana Subdistrict, Satui Sub-district, and Sungai Loban Sub-district.
Activities carried out as a manifestation of their care and passion in realizing environmental sustainability, especially coral reefs.
One of the participants, Ilham said this activity is very providing knowledge and experience that was never obtained in school.
"We are very happy to be a part of this activity, and hope this experience to be useful for us and our friends who follow this Bimtek," he explained.
The materials needed are one sack of cement, sand, water, a small pipe (for electrical wires) of four bars, and five-inch long spikes.
