Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Simplicity is embraced by one member of Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD). He is Abu Suwandi, who concurrently chairman of Commission II.

"Alhamdulillah, in early August I was given the opportunity to absorb people's aspiration through recess. To maintain togetherness and avoid social jealousy, I chose not to mention the name of the village I visited," Abu Suwandi said in a written statement here on Wednesday.

He said, every story they told and every hope they expressed was a mandate that he brought to the parliament.

"Thank you for the trust you have put on me," he said.

Abu asked the community to pray for his health, so that he will always be given health, strength, and sincerity and always be a useful person.

"Whatever people's hopes and complaints, I will fight for it the best I can," he said.

The cadre of the National Mandate Party (PAN) also said honestly that he was only a member of DPRD.

"I do not determine the budget. However, as a representative of the people, I will continue to escort, convey, and fight for every aspiration that is truly a priority and urgent need for the community," he said.

Abu said, a mandate entrusted to him as a people's representative from electoral district 2 and chairman of Commission II of the Kotabaru DPRD is not a mere pride, but a great responsibility that must be accounted for, not only to the community, but to Allah the Almighty and Exalted.

"May every step of this journey bring benefits, real change, and serve as a source of spiritual reward for us all. Thank you for the prayers, support, and trust that continue to strengthen my resolve to serve the people of electoral district 2 and Kotabaru as a whole," he concluded.
