Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu prospective Hajj pilgrims from the 13th fight group have entered the Hajj dormitory and immediately undergone health checks. They were scheduled to depart for Holy Land, Monday (May 11, 2026).

“We pray that everyone can depart safely, healthy, happily, and return as accepted Hajj (mabrur),” said Dr. H. Nur Zazin, Chief of 13th of Banjarmasin Embarkation flight group.

Head of Kotabaru Office of Hajj and Umrah Ministry H Herman Prasetio expressed his appreciation for the synergy between all parties involved in ensuring the smooth departure process.

“Year after year, we have seen a very harmonious relationship, and excellent cooperation between local government, all agencies, and Hajj and Umrah Ministry as the organizer. One again we express our deepest gratitude to all parties involved,” he said.

The group entered the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru on Sunday, May 10, 2026, after a journey of approximately 10 hours from Kotabaru. 

Previously, the pilgrims departed from the Husnul Khotimah Grand Mosque to Al Muhajirin Grand Mosque in Tegal Rejo Village, Kelumpang Hilir sub-district, to pick up other pilgrims. 

On the way, the group rested at Al-Husaini Mosque in Alkautsar Village, Satui Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu District.

Upon arrival at the Hajj dormitory, 301 Hajj pilgrims from Kotabaru, who are members of 13th flight group with Tanah Bumbu pilgrims, greeted by Hajj organizing officers (PPIH) of the Banjarmasin Embarkation. 

The final health check was then conducted to ensure the pilgrims were in excellent physical condition before departing for the Holy Land of Mecca.

The 13th flight group was scheduled to fly from Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin International Airport to the Holy Land on Garuda Indonesia flight number GIA 8113 on Monday, May 11, 2026, evening.
