Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 20/10 (AntaranewsKalsel) - City Patrol Unit (Patko) of Banjarmasin Sabhara (quick response unit) police secured dozens of children involved in a brawl in the city.
"They were all secured when the brawl occurred and we also seized evidence of various types of weapons used in the brawl," said Chief of Police Sr Comr (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana Sik here, Friday.
During the brawl, police from the City Patrol Unit went straight to the scene and the actors who knew ran scattered.
"Thank God there are no casualties in the brawl and we also secure 22 children who allegedly as fighters," he said.
Anjar said the rioting that occurred was disturbing the community on Thursday (19/10) night at around 21:15 pm until 22:00 pm at Jalan Lingkar Dalam Ukhuwah, South Banjarmasin.
"The perpetrators secured are all still children and some are students," said former South Kalimantan Police Director of Special Crime.
To provide a deterrent effect all the perpetrators are secured for 1X24 hours and thrown into the bucket truck. Previously they were enlisted for data collection.
"The evidence secured in the action include chain, bike gear tied with straps, saws, and others," he said.
