Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel)- South Kalimantan Futsal Association (AFP) held a national level 1 futsal coach course as well as a provincial level 3 referee training at Barata Hotel, Banjarmasin, on 24-28 August 2017.
Chairman of local AFP H Anwar Hadimi here on Thursday said the participants enthusiastically participated in the activity, especially young coaches. There are even participants from outside South Kalimantan.
"There are 31 futsal coaches across-South Kalimantan who participated in this event, including some from Central Kalimantan, but a lot more who took referee courses namely 48," he said.
According to Anwar Hadimi, this is the second event held by South Kalimantan AFP in the last two years. It is expected to increase the development of futsal sports in the area to get to the 2020 National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.
"With good coaching and good referees, the development of futsal sports in our area will be more advanced to create reliable athletes," he said.
AFP also said Anwar Hadimi, not half-hearted to bring trainer for coaches and referees. Coaches are handled by Efraim Ferdinand Bawole from DKI Jakarta and for handling referee entrusted to Suparman from Bandung, West Java.
"The rest there are some South Kalimantan trainers and senior referee in the field, with our hope a generation of futsal coaches and referees will be created in this area that would go nationally even internationally," he said.
According to Anwar Hadimi, the development of futsal sport in South Kalimantan has been very proliferated just like a mushroom but has not gained the highest achievement at the national level.
"That does not mean no athletes who compete in the national team, individually some played in U20 (age 20) national team," he explained.
