Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Islamic Student Association (HMI) in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) district rejects all forms of terrorism and radicalism that threaten the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

Chairman of HMI Kandangan Branch, Muhammad Rezki, here on Saturday (22) said the firm rejection is based on the spirit of the young generation, mainly students who are members of HMI in HSS, to ward off the seeds of national disunity.

"Terrorism and radicalism are usually forms of coercion that are subsequently committed in an uncivilized and inhuman way. We are very concerned and do not want this to happen in the HSS that is known for its religious, safe and conducive nature," he said.

He explained that as a follow-up to socialization HMI has installed two banners of appeal from HMI Kandangan Branch, Islamic Students Alumni Association (KAHMI) HSS supported by HSS Police on the rejection of terrorism and radicalism on earth of Antaludin (nickname of HSS).

Two banners were installed in two different places, one in front of MTQ Kandangan Building, on the side of main road, and another installed in front of the HMI secretariat on Jalan Brigjen Katamso, WestKandangan.

"The two banners on display firmly stated that the HMI and alumni families reject all forms of terrorism and radicalism that can disrupt the unity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, the form of our participation to keep the unity of the nation in the region," he said.

According to him, this socialization received a positive response from many parties, including from the HSS National Committee of Indonesia Youth (KNPI) which supported the step and will make banners with the same socialization theme.
