Tanjung, South Kalimantan 15/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The H Badaruddin District Hospital (RSUD) in Tanjung, Tabalong, took private company CV Timdis in managing waste.
Director of H Badaruddin District Hospital Taufikurrahman Hamdie here on Monday said the cooperation with CV Timdis was written in a memorandum of understanding by applying the system according to operational standards.
"Waste managed through the waste bank owned by CV Timdis in the form of solid waste," said Taufikurrahman.
In addition to involving the private sector in waste processing, the hospital also manages it waste independently with wastewater treatment facilities including incenerators with a capacity of 50 kilograms per hour and Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) capacity of 90 cubic meters per day.
He explained for solid waste managed through the incenarator, while the wastewater through IPAL.
"Garbage or waste from the radiology room is managed specifically because of its radioactive substance content," explained Taufikurrahman.
Meanwhile to optimize the management of solid waste which percentage is high, the hospital will build an integrated incenerator. It is one of the efforts to realize green hospital in this region, to have a comfort environment for the patients and the surrounding community.
