Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Criminal Investigation Unit of North Banjarmasin Sector Police led by Second Inspector (Ipda) Arya Widjayas foiled the circulation of 9,500 Zenith pills.
Banjarmasin police chief Senior Commissioner (KOmbes) Anjar Wicaksana Sik here on Thursday said thanks to the outstanding investigations and patrol of police members in the field thousands of Zenith pills have been thwarted.
In addition to thwart circulation of Zenith pills, police arrested the culprit, FR alias Iri (22), resident of Barabai Darat, Central Hulu Sungai, South Kalimantan.
The perpetrator was arrested on Thursday at around 12.30 pm at Jalan Jahri Saleh in a housing complex of Pandan Arum, North Banjarmasin.
The arrest began when members of the North Banjarmasin Sector Police on patrol and saw someone suspected of carrying a black bag placed in front of a motorcycle.
Police then checked the bag and turned out it contained Zenith drug production of Carnophen as many as 95 boxes or equal to 9,500 pills.
The perpetrator was immediately taken to the sector police for examination and further legal proceedings.
He has been named as a suspect and charged under Article 197 of Law No. 36 Year 2009 on Health with a penalty of 10 years in prison.
