Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) here stated all South Kalimantan hajj pilgrims had returned from Saudi Arabia in Hajj season this year.
Head of Public Relations Office of South Kalimantan MORA Hidayaturrahman here on Monday said last fleet or group flight 12 Embarkation Banjarmasin had come from Medina, Saudi Arabia, to Syamsuddin Noor Airport on Monday (25/10) at around 04:55.
"The last South Kalimantan hajj pilgrims who came yesterday as many as 222, all in good condition," he said.
According to him, the number of South Kalimantan pilgrims who come safely many as 3,069 people from as many as 3,077 people who went to the Holy Land in this Hajj season.
"So in the pilgrimage season this year as many as eight people died, rose from the previous year only five people," he explained.
However, Hidayaturrahman said, the death toll of pilgrims is fairly small, judging from the number of pilgrims who have high risk as much as 60 percent, namely because of advanced age (elderly), high blood pressure and high blood sugar.
Not to mention, he said, weighing the pilgrimage this year, not only because of the hot exstrem weather and various tragedies.
"Remarkably, the pilgrimage heavy, but no one should be admitted to hospital, some only enter health poly when arrived yesterday," he said.
According to him, the spirit of the pilgrims who come to the holy land looks outstanding, including elderly pilgrims who did not seem to look tired.
