Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Al-Qur'an, translated into Banjar language, finally published after about four years of refinement.
AntaranewKalsel in Banjarmasin on Tuesday has monitored the Al-Qur'an in Banjar language is dominantly using the upstream Banjar language (mostly used by people in Banua Anam or the six districts of the upstream part of South Kalimantan).
The work was initiated by the academicians of the Antasari Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Banjarmasin (now becomes Antasari State Islamic University or UIN) since 2017 and it was supported by the South Kalimantan Office of Religious Affairs Ministry.
The launch of Al-Qur'an in Banjar language is scheduled to take place at the UIN Antasari Library on Thursday, February 25, 2021.

Chairman of South Kalimantan DPRD's Commission IV for People's Welfare, Education, and Religion HM Lutfi Saifuddin SSos, appreciated and positively welcomed the publication of Al-Qur'an in Banjar language translation.
Gerindra Party politician hopes the translation of Al-Qur'an in Banjar language will increase the knowledge of Muslim, especially Banjar people, both in overseas or those who live in the Banua (South Kalimantan).
"With the translation of Al Qur'an in Banjar language, we hope that Banjar Muslims, in particular, can explore the contents of Al-Qur'an, understand, and apply it in their daily lives," said Lutfi.
