Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - One Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) in Tapin District tested positive based on COVID-19 rapid test.
Director of Datu Sanggul District Hospital (RSUD) dr Milhan said, the patient had previously been treated in the isolation room of the local hospital for one night.
"From the result of the rapid test, the PDP patient is indeed positive, but the result cannot be a reference," he said when confirmed by telephone, Saturday (April 4, 2020).
He said, the rapid test was screening examination. "To declare a patient positive or not later is more accurate from the result of throat swab," said the obstetrician.
The 56-year-old PDP had just come from the Asia Ijtima activities held in Gowa, South Sulawesi.
"The patient had experienced shortness of breath, and this morning he was referred to the Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin," he said.
