Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Members of vehicle theft unit of South Kalimantan Regional Police's Directorate of General Crime Investigation have confiscated nine cars with fake documents (bodong) illegedly brought from various places in Java.
"This is a syndicate of fraud and embezzlement of leasing cars intended as a supply for South Kalimantan," said Head of Crime with violence Unit (Jatanras) of the directorate Adj Comr (AKBP) Afebrianto Nugroho in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.
By uncovering the bodong car case, four illegedly suspects have been arrested, namely Ha, Ju, Ut, and Bu. Their role is to make a fake of identity of cars documents from Java to be brought to South Kalimantan.

"So all documents have been falsified from Java to sell quickly to interested buyers here. Some also made for personal use," Nugroho pointed out.
The police hve succeeded in uncovering the syndicate of cars fraud and embezzlement with a mode of fund or leasing company, after seizing a car in Pelahari, Tanah Laut District.

"We have an information of a car suspected of bodong (with fake documents) in Pelaihari. We probed into it and found it came from Jakarta. After developing it the syndicate was then uncovered," he said.
