Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 2019 Hajj pilgrimage is somewhat special for the South Kalimantan Regional Police ranks because 28 of pilgrims are its personnel to depart to the holy land of Mecca.
"Alhamdulillah, this year there are quite a lot of our members who get the chance to go on the Hajj. We pray together that they will get smoothly going through the whole series of worship in the Holy Land and return to Banua in healthy and holy condition," said South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Ins.Gen. Yazid Fanani.
The release of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Hajj pilgrims was specifically carried out at the Al-Muhtadin Mosque in South Kalimantan Regional Police headquarters after the Zhuhur prayer on Wednesday.
The two-star general invited the entire family of the South Kalimantan Regional Police to pray for their colleagues who have been called as guests of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam.
Likewise for those who made the pilgrimage, the Police Chief also asked to pray for their colleagues to be called to follow to the Holy Land for the Hajj in the following years.
"God willing, South Kalimantan Regional Police personnel who become hajj candidates can achieve the title of Hajj Mabrur and later return to their homeland safely," he said.
Regarding the licensing mechanism for the Hajj service, Yazid ensures that he will provide leeway to leave temporary assignments, so that the personnel concerned can focus on worship solemnly.
"The main thing is not to think about the task first. Just focus on worship, because the leader must give special permission for those who go on the pilgrimage," he said.
South Kalimantan Regional Police personnel carrying out the pilgrimage this year amounted to 28 people, consisting of 6 middle officers, 12 first officers, 9 non-commissioned officers and 1 National Police Civil Service Apparatus (ASN), including 3 of them policewoman.
