The cement factory PT Conch South Kalimantan which operates in Saradang Village, Haruai Sub-district, Tabalong, submitted educational scholarships for elementary (SD), junior (SMP) and high school (SMA) students in the district.
The head of the Tabalong Education and Culture Office Akhmad Noor Rizali said the second stage of education scholarship was given to 10 students.
"Conch provided an education scholarship of IDR 3 million per student," explained Rizali.
The submission of scholarship took place at the commemoration of the National Education Day in the yard of the Pendopo Bersinar Pembataan submitted by PT Conch South Kalimantan GM Yan Jiacheng and Qin Dong and administrative staff Dika Tristyana and Dinda.
Scholarships were given to state junior high school SMPN 2 Upau, state elementary school SDN 1.2 Pangelak, SDN Bongkang, state high school SMAN 2 Upau and SMAN 1 Haruai.
This Chinese cement factory, said Rizali, will also give a scholarship to study at the Nanjing Polytechnic Institute in China.
"For scholarships to study in China this year Tabalong has a quota of 30 students," explained Rizali. Furthermore, the selection of recipients of this scholarship awaits the graduation schedule of high school students and its equivalent.
