Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Patients and nurses in the Balangan District Hospital suddenly scattered to escape, due to the emergence of smoke on the second floor, above the emergency room (UGD).

The incident was Sunday, January 20 at around 6:00 p.m., when the hospital security officers saw a puff of smoke coming out from the second floor. Immediate action was taken with the equipment available.

But smoke continued to increase, so it was decided to ask for help from the fire department.

Director of the hospital Dr. Ferry, who immediately reviewed the location, revealed that the burning room contained supporting equipment for services and cleaning equipment, such as pillows, detergents, and the like.

"There are no items or archives that affect service, only pillows, detergents and a type of cleaning device. Indeed there are archives, but it is not too important, only around supporting items," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Emergency Section of Balangan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Syuhada said, the fire allegedly came from electric current of electronic equipment.

"After seeing the location, it was most likely a short circuit from the dispenser cable in the room. There were no fatalities, and wetting was done, the location was safe," he concluded.
