Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Commander (Dandim) of 1003 Kandangan Military Command Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto said the exhibition of primary weaponry defense system (Alutsista) in the 2018 HSS Expo is an educational event and could foster a sense of love for the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI).
He said, the alutsista display through the Kandangan Military Command (Kodim) stand is not just an interesting spectacle, but a form of accountability to the people for the use of the TNI AD (Army) budget in the procurement of armament systems.
"In this exhibition, people can see first hand the various weaponry owned by the Army, in addition to recreation in the photographic, younger generation can learn about defense equipment and get to know more about the Army," he said at the sideline of the opening of the expo, Saturday (7/12).
To remember, he said, the process of the TNI's birth and struggle, especially the Army, was inseparable from support, assistance, and cooperation of all the people and the TNI was a people's child born of the people and large in the midst of the people, so that the TNI always fought for the interests of people.
The Kandangan Kodim stand is not only flooded with adults but also children and adolescents. They came from Kandangan, Barabai, Rantau and other cities. There are those who just saw, took pictures with the family, also there are those who asked about the defense equipment, and how to register as a member of the Army.
Lieutenant Colonel Suhardi invites to take a close look at various TNI AD armaments, such as Mortar 81 Tampela, heavy machine guns, G2 pistols, binoculars, prism compasses, and various other weapons. Visitors also get information about the process of recruiting soldiers.
