Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, H Sukamta closed the 2018 Tala Expo and Pasar Rakyat (People's Market) which were held to enliven the district's 53rd anniversary at the Pertasi Kencana Stadium, Wednesday (5/12).
Regent H Sukamta said that the Tala Expo had already had a considerable economic impact with a turnover of approximately Rp.6.6 billion.
"In the future, there will be more events such as this so that the economy in Tanah Laut experiences growth and people's welfare from time to time will increase," he said.
Head of Cooperative, Industry and Trade Agency Rafiqi Effendi said the Tala Expo and Pasar Rakyat 2018 are a means of promotion and information dissemination of development and public entertainment facilities.
"The Tala Expo and People's Market have a positive impact on the economy of the community, especially the traders who participated the activity," he explained.
The closing ceremony was attended by Secretary of District H Syahrian Nurdin, PKK Chairwoman Hj Nurul Hikmah Sukamta, Deputy Chairperson II of PKK Hj Ayie Syahrian Nurdin, DPRD speaker and officials of the Tanah Laut Government.
