Kiram, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Head of the South Kalimantan Bureau of Antara News Agency Nurul Aulia Badar expects the bureau to become the center of the media community in the province which consists of 13 districts and cities.

  
It was addressed in a handover ceremony between the former Antara News Agency Head of Bureau Abdul Hakim Muhidin and the new head of bureau Nurul Aulia Badar at Kiram Park in the Meratus Mountains region, Banjar District (about 52 kilometers northeast of Banjarmasin), Saturday.

According to Oly (Aulia Badar's nickname), with the formation of a media community, the media or journalists can support each other to produce better journalistic works.
     
They can also support each other's existence, as well as the roles and duties of their respective media, said the Minang-blooded man who had worked in Malaysia for many years.
 
"Then, we hope, the media community can increasingly raise the name of the region, to make it famous throughout the archipelago to international," he continued.

Especially for the South Kalimantan Bureau, he said he would try to improve the role, both as a government-owned news agency and for the advancement of regional and community development in the province.
     
"Because South Kalimantan has a lot of potentials that we need to promote so that the province can progress and be independent," he said.

Aulia Badar previously served at the head office of the Indonesian News Agency, which was formerly the Antara National News Agency (LKBN), in Jakarta. Whereas Abdul Hakim Muhidin became the Head of the Bureau of East Kalimantan.
     
Abdul Hakim, who once the Head of the Bureau for Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), leading the South Kalimantan bureau for almost ten years. Now he returned to his hometown where he first became the LKBN journalist.
