Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The joint team of Drug Detective Police and Banjarmasin National Narcotics Agency (BNN) conducted urine tests on drivers at the terminal and crew (ABK) at the port.


"This urine test is in a timely way to support the flow of mudik (Idul Fitri annual exodus or homecoming tradition) so that the drivers and crew are free from drug abuse," Drug Detective Unit Chief Comr Police (Kompol) Herry Purwanto remarked here on Friday.

In the Main Terminal Km 6, the urine test was carried out on the Provincial Inter-City transport (AKDP) drivers and Inter-City Inter-Provincial transport (AKAP) drivers.

"The urine tests performed on 60 drivers with all negative results," explained Herry.

Then urine test in Trisakti Port targeting the crew of Amarisa roll on roll off ship which was about to leave for Surabaya.

"A total of 100 people consisting of 77 Amarisa crews and 23 drivers tested urine. The results are entirely negative using drugs," he explained.

Herry revealed, the activity was to maintain the safety of water transport that brings passengers flow back and forth in the context of Operation Ketupat Intan 2018.
