Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Acting Regent of Tanah Laut Achmad Sofiani said the availability of red onion in the district in the last four months only 25 tons, whereas the required stock reaches 300 tons.


"From the sudden inspection together with related agencies in Pelaihari Market we get information on the availability of onion is quite alarming because it is only available 25 tons during the last four months," said Achmad Sofiani.

This condition becomes the attention of Government of Tanah Laut on how the needs of society can be fulfilled. One of the efforts, he explained, is to make additional stock by bringing onions from outside the region to keep prices stable in the market.

He informed that on the basis of sudden inspection with the Food Task ForceTeam to Pelaihari Market, there were three basic commodities which priceshave increased, ie meat, egg and onion.

The food task force Team, he called, continue to coordinate so that the price of staple goods can be stable, then people can undergo the month of fasting and celebrate Idul Fitri 1439 Hijriah calmly and happily.
       
"People do not worry that the task force team continues to monitor the development of the price of staple goods before Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1439 Hijriah," he said.
