Batulicin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) carried out by Military District Command (Kodim) 1022 Tanah Bumbu has popped up the spirit of communal cooperation (gotong royong) which begins to fade among people in the district.
"The spirit of gotong-royong must be maintained, and so far the TMMD program is very in harmony with the local government program, because both want to build and prosper the community," said the Tanah Bumbu District Military Commander Lieutenant Colonel CZI Andi Setyawan in Batulicin, Saturday.
He said at the moment the 1022 District Military Command is implementing the 101st TMMD program in Batulicin Sub-district by building a three-kilometer road.
The road construction connects Simpang Empat Subdistrict to Batulicin Subdistrict which is planned to be completed in one month.
Community participation helps TNI personnel who are members of the TMMD task force to demonstrate the unity of the TNI and the people are well preserved.
In addition, the participation of Police personnel in the TMMD task force also reflects the solidity of TNI and Polri in realizing a prosperous Indonesian society.
"This program is very helpful to the local government, the budget is more efficient, the community is also involved in the implementation and revive gotong royong tradition," he concluded.
