Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - SMAN 1 Paminggir which is a remote school in North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, has successfully won an Adiwiyata School (Environmentally cultured school) in a national level. 
"The vision of SMA 1 Paminggir is to realize a school of excellence, religious, and environmentally cultured, so we want to change all the shortcomings of our remote schools into achievements," said Head SMAN 1 Paminggir Sukiman.
One of the school's mission is to realize the concern for the conservation of the environment, hence the school created the motto 'Green My School, Preserve My Nature'.
In the midst of the limited facilities and school infrastructure because SMA 1 Paminggir located in remote areas, the teachers work hard with the commitment and spirit to realize the Adiwiyata school.
Sukiman did not expect that in 2015 SMAN 1 Paminggir passed the assessment of Adiwiyata school at the district level. Then continue in 2016 by successfully becoming Adiwitara School of South Kalimantan province level.
"The peak, that we never imagined before our school won National Adiwiyata School in 2017," said Sukiman.
Getting three consecutive achievements, himself with the teachers and students brave to 'dream' to achieve Adiwiyata Mandiri Nasional which award charter will be directly submitted by the President.
"Now we are preparing the program to become Adiwiyata Mandiri National School," he said.
Together with SMAN 1 Paminggir also achieved the status of National Adiwiyata School is SMA 2 Amuntai. While schools won Adiwiyata School of HSU Regency level in 2017 namely SDN Sungai Malang 4, SD and SMP Islam Terpadu Ihsanul Amal, MAN 1 and MAN 2.
