Tanjung, S Kalimantan 26/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pertamina Exploration and Production of V Tanjung Field Asset provided 1,000 fruit seedlings and shade plants as assistance for Adiwiyata school in Tabalong. 

Public Relations Representative of PT Pertamina EP Asset V Tanjung Field Devanty Puri here on Friday said the assistance of 1,000 seeds is one of the corporate social responsibility programs in the environmental field.

"The seeds assistance was channeled through the Environmental Agency to be given to Adiwiyata schools," explained Puri.

This assistance as one form of a partnership of SOEs (BUMN) in order to support the program Adiwiyata School in `Bumi Sarabakawa` (Tabalong nickname) to build the school garden.

Acting Head of the Environment Agency Rahmadi Amir said the role of private and state enterprises in accelerating the realization of Adiwiyata school is needed.

"We will continue to seek cooperation from private companies and SOEs in supporting the Adiwiyata school program," explained Rahmadi.

Currently, only a few companies and SOEs are actively supporting this environmentally friendly school program. They are PT Pertamina EP Asset V Tanjung Field, PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Bukit Makmur Sejahtera, PT Pamapersada Nusantara and PT Sapta Indera Sejahtera.

Head of Environmental Arrangement Muchtar said there are currently 55 Adiwiyata schools in Tabalong District and seven schools have won the National Adiwiyata School awards.

"This year we will propose three schools for Adiwiyata Mandiri," explained Muchtar.
