All Brown Sugar Culinary Party in Simpur

Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - The Government of Simpur Subdistrict, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), held a culinary party with a variety of brown sugar.

Head of Simpur Sub-district Abdul Karim in Simpur, Tuesday (9/1), said the choice of culinary with brown sugar is due to the considerable amount of production of brown sugar or palm sugar in the subdistrict.

"Simpur is also famous for the cake market, and in Ramadhan every year provides a variety of culinary with brown sugar ingredients," he said.

The age of Simpur is as old as the HSS District, 67 years. Simpur is an area of ??struggle, where "Amuk Hantarukung" (Hantarukung Amuck) war took place, with its character Panglima Bukhari from Wasah Hilir Village.

Simpur plans to build Amuk Hantarukung monument, also to build green open space (RTH) and playground.

HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry said developments were fully supported as long as they fulfilling the development mechanism.

Starting this year, the HSS Government through its related offices, initiated the revitalization or re-planting of palm sugar in order to rejuvenate and increase the productivity of agricultural products.

He explained, if there are residents who want to rejuvenate Simpur palm tree, can contact the relevant agencies.
