The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Library and Archive Office (Dispersip) continues to improve its quality service as a friendly and educational center of literacy for the public, especially early childhood.

Head of the Dispersip Muhammad Fuad Fahruddin said several strategic steps  have been taken to present library as a comfortable, open public space and encouraging reading interest to grow from early age.

“The library is expected to be enjoyable learning space for children. We continue to strive to improve and innovate services, and open to cristism serta and suggestion from the public as evaluation,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of communication and synergy between local government, educators, an the community in supporting the improvement of library quality services.

The office also informed its participation in the Kotabaru anniversary commemoration by organizing a booth exhibiting library and archive services.

“We invite all residents to visit Library and Archive Office booth to obtain information and services we provide,” he added.

As a token of appreciation, the Dispersip presented certificates of appreciation to schools that participated in the event.

The schools that participated included Bina Bintang Inclusive Early Childhood Education (PAUD Inklusi Bina Bintang), with 30 students and 25 teachers. This school is led by Principal Hajar Aswana, S.Pd.

Bina Jaya Kindergarten, with 26 students and 3 teachers accompanying. It is led by Principal Rajawati.

The event proceeded smoothly and orderly and expected to make a positive contribution in improving literacy culture in the District of Kotabaru.
