Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tabalong Resort Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Hardiono said funds for the investigation of narcotics cases are limited and insufficient until the end of the year.

"Currently the case of drug traffickings such as carnophen and sabu-sabu is quite a lot but not worth the funds of the investigation," explained Hardiono.

However, he insisted, this condition is not an obstacle for police officers to continue to combat drug trafficking and will utilize funds from other activities to cover the shortfall.

This year the fund for the drug investigation in Tabalong Resort Police is Rp330 million higher than the previous year which was Rp250 million.

According to a member of the drug unit at Tabalong Police, Chief Brig Ainul Arif, the funds for a report of the results of examination is not to exceed Rp9 million and to make it be sufficient.

"Sometimes in one case or report the results of examination required more funds, such as checks to the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and operational members," said Ainul.

Ainul himself received an award from police chief for successfully uncovering drug cases in Tabalong. Including his two colleagues, Chief Brig (Bripka) Razikinnor and Brigadier Eka Muliansyah who managed to catch a drug suspect with 34.03 grams of evidence.
