Police arrests Zenith dealer in Cempaka Market

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Central Banjarmasin police arrested Zenith type G-class drug dealer who often transacts in Cempaka Market, Banjarmasin.

"The perpetrator MF (49) was arrested with a prospective buyer who used to buy drug from him," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Sr Comr (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana here on Saturday.

He said the perpetrator was arrested on Friday (7/7) at around 21.30.

Initially the Central Banjarmasin police got information from the community that there was a zenith seller at the scene.

Police then investigated and  found the perpetratorwas serving the buyer and officers immediately made the arrest.

"From the hands of the perpetrators confiscated 175 Zenith pills, 677 dextro pills and 14 Calmitason pills," said police chief.

He was named as suspect and charged under Article 197 of RI Law No. 36 Year 2009 on Health for circulating pharmaceutical that do not have a marketing authorization.

"We also remind the drug merchants in Cempaka Market area not to try distribute Zenith and the like, because if proved we will put police line in his shop," said Anjar.
