Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 30/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Police Chief (Kapolda) Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana ordered his staff to record the official agents, distributors or traders of firecrackers in South Kalimantan.


"We are doing preventive efforts first by recording official agencies to check their licenses to trade firecrackers or fireworks," he said on Tuesday.

According to Kapolda, the data collection is to ensure that the distributors have trading permit in accordance with the data from intelligence (Intelkam).

"If people want to sell firecrackers at least they have to get a copy of permission from an authorized distributor, otherwise the police can take legal action," said the one-star general.

South Kalimantan Police Chief said if one agent has the permit, then certainly the distribution process is known, including the storage procedure in the warehouse.

"The flammable thing must be ensured its safety so as not to harm everyone, if things happen that are not desirable, such as fire danger and so on," said the man who familiar with the media crew.

Regarding the maintenance of the security situation during Ramadan, Kapolda asked residents to maintain order. Things that can disrupt the muslim worship should be avoided.

"If there are citizens who ignite firecrackers near the house of worship when the Tarawih Prayers, yes the authorities must take action, including wild racing should be dealt with firmly," said Kapolda.
