Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - People in South Kalimantan are asked to always be alert against terrorism and radical thought that exist in their neighborhood.
"Always be aware of immigrant who come with unclear objectives and activities in the community," said Head of the South Kalimantan National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Hermansyah Manaf here Wednesday.
He said South Kalimantan until today still looks safe and comfortable and there was no threat of terrorism and radical thought. However, he added, the conditions and the situation could be exploited by terrorist groups to hide and collect strategies.
Not only that, said Herman, South Kalimantan until now not the target of the attack but that does not mean the people in the region should careless and relax on their ideologies.
"It is possible that today there are sympathizers of radical and terrorism thought in South Kalimantan," he said on the Terrorism Coverage Guidelines Dissemination and Professionals Improvement of Mass Media in Covering Issues of Terrorism.
Herman also said that terrorism and radicalism is a real threat in Indonesia, including in South Kalimantan. If it is be watched, then later will cause damage to the integrity of the state and terrorism will also undermine the bond of brotherhood in this country.
"To the media in coverage the radical and terrorism thought must be able to provide insight and coolness to the public and invite the community to be aware of terrorism," he said when speaking in a discussion in the Ballroom of Aria Barito Hotel.
