Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Some parents are still hesitant to bring their children for immunization across various reasons, including fear of fuss and the heat, did not get husband's permission and doubted whether the vaccine given lawful.


Head of community health center (Puskesmas) Sungai Pinang Muhammad Abdus in Kandangan on Thursday said those reasons are challenges faced by the officer during the implementation of the immunization as a program of the center.

"There are parents who are reluctant to bring their children to be immunized against measles with a variety of reasons, such as fear hot and cranky, do not allowed by family, especially her husband, and their doubts about the halal vaccine," he said.

Although there are still obstacles, he said, the achievement of measles immunization program, and other programs, was quite high, because the officers with painstaking convincing and explaining the benefits of immunization for the future of their children.

Abdus revealed, for the achievement of crashes program activities of measles, vitamin A and worm medication in the Tumbukan Banyu village with 212 target immunization has reached 81.6 percent, worm medicine has reached 99.9 per cent and vitamin A red reached 98.1 percent male and 99.9 percent female.

In Sungai Pinang from 154 targets of immunization with the achievements 96.1 percent, 100 percent for worming tablets, vitamin A red 102.7 percent of male and 100 percent of female.

Furthermore, the village of Habirau target 163 of immunization has reached 84.05 percent, 101.2 percent worming tablets, vitamin A red to 101.3 percent male and 101.2 percent of women.

Banua Hanyar villages targeted 241 for immunization has reached 97.9 percent, 101.6 percent worming medicine and vitamin A red 100.8 percent of male and 101.6 percent of female.
