Pelaihari, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Government of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, successfully won Smart City Nusantara Award from PT Telkom Indonesia.


"As many as 71 cities and regencies in Indonesia won Smart City Nusantara Award 2016, one of them is the Tanah Laut district," said Head of Transportation, Communications and Information Technology Agency Sutrisno in Pelaihari, Tuesday.

According to him, the success of Tanah Laut to win the award in 2016 one of which is the district has implemented smart city.

"The award was handed over by GM of PT Telkom Indonesia for South Kalimantan Region to Regent of Tanah Laut today," he said.

For this the success Tanah Laut has prepared some more future activities to enlarge and enliven Smart City Nusantara.

Separately, GM PT Telkom Indonesia South Kalimantan Khairullah told that on August 11, 2016 Smart City Nusantara Awards were submitted simultaneously to 71 cities and districts in Indonesia, including Tanah Laut and Tanah Bumbu.

The success of Tanah Laut, he explained, because of the commitment of regent and vice regent and the local working unit (SKPD) officials to implement smart city.

Some of which in the form of wifi in some points, while in SKPD they already have internet access and there is a link connected between SKPD using optical fiber as well as applications.

"With this success, the PT Telkom Indonesia will add three wifi points making the total 10 points. Currently seven points of wifi have been installed in Tanah Laut," he said.
