Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banua Pintar Village Library (Perpusdes) from the village of Kapar, Murung Pudak Sub-district, Tabalong, was awarded best in provincial level.
"Because it ranks the first in the South Kalimantan province assessment, the Banua Pintar village library was nominated for a national," said Ika Rahmawati, one of administrator of the library in Tanjung, Thursday.
Of this achievement, the Perpusdes received a cash of Rp3.2 million for the development of the library. Besides it also received three computers from Perpuseru Coca Cola Foundation in the hope of applying information technology based library.
"Hampered by the absence of internet network, the computer from Coca Cola Foundation utilized to practice typing for the village," said Ika.
Meanwhile, through the village fund the village library also adds 100 titles to enrich the collection of readings with the hope of attracting the interest of local communities.
