Indonesia pocketed three more golds in men's para-swimming team in the second day of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games (APG) event performed at the Jatidiri Stadium Semarang, Tuesday.
Fajar Nur Hadianto grabbed the gold in the men's 50m breaststroke SB4 event, then Syuci Indriani in the women's 50m butterfly S14 event.
While the third gold secured in the men's mixed S14 4x100m relay in which Indonesia had deployed four swimmers: Fathur Rizky Moreno, Daniel Nugroho Wijayanto, Aldi Tri Septian, and M. Tauhidi Fatahillah.
With this result, the current total count of medals that the Indonesian para-swimming team bagged during the 2022 APG reaches 31 medals comprising 10 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
Earlier, Indonesia managed to bag seven gold medals in para-swimming during the first day of the competition.
The first gold medal was bagged by Aris Wibawa in the men's 100m breaststroke SB7 event, with the fastest time clocked of 1 minute, 34.46 seconds.
Wibawa managed to beat Cambodia’s Khouy Koy, who logged 1 minute, 39.54 seconds, and Vietnam's Ho Van Dao, who clocked 1 minute, 47.36 seconds.
Rino Saputra took the second gold by beating his Vietnamese and Thai competitors in the men’s 100m freestyle S9 event, with a time of 1 minute, 4.72 seconds.
Zaki Zulkarnain grabbed the third gold for Indonesia in the men's 100m freestyle S8 event, with a time of 1 minute, 3.50 seconds, beating Thailand and Vietnam.
Tangklisan Steven Sualang took the fourth gold in the men's 50m backstroke S10 event, while Meliana Ratih Pratama snatched the fifth gold in the women's 50m backstroke S14 event.
The sixth and seventh medals were won in the relay category, specifically the 4x100m mixed style (49 points) and 4x100 m freestyle (34 points).
