Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Some residents of the village of Sungai Gampa, Banjarmasin, feel isolated when compared with residents of other parts of the city.

"It's only a footpath road. Therefore, more people use the river that was not fast and not smooth," said Anang, villagers of Sungai Gampa, Subdistrict of North Banjarmasin, in Kampung Sungai Gampa on Friday.

He felt jealous when compared to other areas in the city of Banjarmasin which have paved and smooth roads and  making it easy to ubiquitous use of vehicles. Sungai Gampa has only a footpath, muddy, and relatively many holes here and there.

Residents of Sungai Gampa hope they are not discriminated. They hope to obtain the same development services to other areas in the city of about 700,000 people. While Sungai Gampa has schools and health coomunity center and many employees and teachers commute to the city.

In fact, the village is also a barn of agricultural production in the form of rice and oranges, and some time ago made the harvest by Mayor Haji Muhidin.

Orange plantation in Gampa River reportedly 14 hectares. Fruit production supplies the needs of city citizens and require adequate transport infrastructure in order to be more quickly to reach the market and not damaged, said another resident.

Meanwhile, based on information from the city government, over the next two years no money is budgeted for road improvements to Sungai Gampa Village. The reason that if road to be constructed the area will quickly developed into a residential area thus eliminating the catchment area.
