North Hulu Sungai (HSU) has now a model building for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) built in North Amuntai Sub-district as a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The pilot PAUD building was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Regent H Abdul Wahid HK and was also attended by Irhamsyah from PAUD Development Center and Community Education of the South Kalimantan Office of the Ministry, and HSU DPRD Speaker Almien Ashar Safari.
"HSU is one of 16 districts in Indonesia that received the grant to build the pilot PAUD building," said Irhamsyah.
In fact, he continued, HSU is the only district in South Kalimantan to receive the grant, thus it is hoped that it can inspire other districts in the province.
He hopes that the pilot PAUD in HSU to support the expansion of access to improve the quality of early childhood education services, a reference of the fulfillment of PAUD facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the national standards.
Acting Head of HSU Education Agency H.Junaidi Gunawan explained that the construction of the pilot PAUD building was carried out within 125 calendar days at a cost of IDR1.1 billion consisting of educational games and furniture and distributed gradually.
"Hopefully it inspires and motivates PAUD educators in improving learning and the quality of human resources," said Regent Wahid.
HSU PAUD Mother Hj Anisah Rasyidah said that the existence of a pilot PAUD building proves the government's high concern for early childhood education.
"So it is hoped that the quality PAUD educator resources will continue to be improved through the availability of quality learning facilities," she said.
